Customer Review: Favourite
I purchased this DVD in the middle of my second trimester to stay fit and because I like yoga. I’m not a big expert but I was really satisfied with the content of the DVD. I like that there are modified poses. You don’t have to force them. It’s a calming energizing dvd. I like it a lot. It has some special additional features for example postnatal yoga or birthing room yoga.
Although I’m planning a hospital birth I hope I can use a bit of yoga for labor.
It was really a good choice to buy this product. I’m satisfied.:-)
Customer Review: Who were the consultants for this one?
Let me start off with what I liked. The DVD has several chapters that are easily accessible from the menu. The chapters are focused to specific purposes - like the energizing segment or the birthing room segment. When guiding you through the poses, the narrator does a great job of slowing down and letting you settle into the pose - there’s no rush. Also, the amount of time of the exercises are doable - it’s very easy to get in a good 30 minute practice with this DVD.
What I didn’t like is that I had to question some of the movements the DVD guides you through. For example, at one point you’re asked to sit in butterfly pose and bounce your knees up and down. Didn’t we all learn in grade school PE class that you never bounce when stretching? This just seemed to me like a recipe for some pulled muscles. This is why I gave it only 3 stars - you need to be pretty savy about physical exercise to know what is safe in this DVD. Learn More / Buy Now
