Customer Review: Made my life bearable again!
I was 5 months pregnant with twins when I found this support. I had just been put on a week’s bed-rest from round ligament pain, and I had seen this item in a flier in the local pharmacy before I was on couch arrest. I decided to give it a try- and within minutes after I put this thing on, I could feel the easing of the pain in my abdomin, my back & my hips. I am now 31 weeks pregnant, and this has helped me stay mobile. I have noticed that if I wear this brace during the day at work, I have less back pain & less stomach pain from the weight of my boys. I have found that if I wear it while shopping, I can stay on my feet longer and with much much less pain during & when I am done shopping. (although now I am so big, I don’t go shopping much except on line!) It doesn’t fix the entire problem of back stress & round ligament stress- but it does help. Also, in the model I have, it has a pocket in the back of the brace that I use to put re-useable ice packs during the day, if I am aching more than usual. It could probably be used for the re-useable heat pads if a person preferred.
Only drawbacks to this item is that the velcro patches can scrape & scratch the belly & legs. The borders where the velcro is stitched to the fabric tends to curl outward a bit, and the hook part of the product also pokes through the hem of the binding. (This is even after washing & drying the belt as recommended– the drying being by air only) For the most part, if you wear the support over clothing, it fixes this problem & it is reasonably comfortable. It can get hot to wear if you are pregnant through the summer, but again- the ice packs helped.
All in all, if you are miserable & aching– this is a good product to purchase & try. It might help- and since it is a support brace, it could be tax deductable depending on your tax circumstances. If it doesn’t work for you– there is always an option to return it within a reasonable amount of time!
Customer Review: Can’t sit in it
It’s so big and bulky it’s uncomfortable to sit in. Standing it feels great though. I’m on moderate activity restrictions so I don’t do much standing. I am going to opt for a thinner belt and a bellybra instead. However if I were working retail again over the holidays I’d be figuring out how to squeeze this thing under my uniform. I think it would hide well. It was easy to work and the sizes seemed very accurate. I wear a 12/14 on the bottom and bought a Large. It was perfect. Learn More / Buy Now
