All-in-One Care Planning Resource: Medical-Surgical, Pediatric, Maternity, and Psychiatric Nursing Care Plans
This exciting new resource contains selected care plans for pediatric, maternal, and psychiatric nursing in addition to medical-surgical nursing care plans 101 care plans in all. This allows students to use one book throughout the curriculum. Care plans are organized in four separate sections (medical-surgical, pediatric, maternal, and psychiatric) and within each section alphabetically by disorder/condition. The open and attractive two-color design, the latest NANDA nursing diagnoses, and desired outcomes featuring specific timeframes, make this the most student-friendly and clinically relevant nursing care plan book.
Customer Review: Not that great
This book seems to be helpful if you are searching for really specific diagnoses, but not for just a broad range. For example, risk for impaired skin integrity is due to chemotherapy. It is very specific in each category, and makes it impossible to use for a regular patient care plan. This was partly my fault because i did not read into it a lot before purchasing (bought in the store). I am hoping that I can return it and get a general care plan book, that is not so specific in the related to and evidenced by parts. This one would probably come in handy when I am in specialties phase this summer, however I am in an accelerated LPN program, and our specialties are short in length, so it is a waste of money. I do agree with a previous review that the book is not very well organized either.
Customer Review: absolutely awful
This book is a required book at my nursing school, otherwise I would be selling it now in the used book section. I have wasted sooo much time searching for things in this book. The organization is pitiful. It is organized by system, then disease process, so all of the nursing diagnosis are specifically related to disease(good luck if the disease isn’t in the book). I would not recommend this book to anyone, I have since spent lots of time and additional money trying to find a good care plan book. Learn More / Buy Now
